You Spent Years Learning to
Practice Medicine.
Privileging Shouldn't Take More
Years to Figure Out.

Whether you are fresh out of residency and opening your first practice, or you are an experienced physician expanding into a new facility; DoxApply handles the privileging process so you can focus on what you actually trained to do.

Hospital Physician Privileging

What Is Privileging and Why Does It Matter to You?

DoxApply exists to make privileging faster, simpler, and less maddening for you, regardless of where you are in your career.

For Physicians Starting Their Careers
(Residents and New Graduates)

You just finished residency. You are either joining a group practice, signing on at a small hospital, or maybe even opening your own clinic. Either way, you need clinical privileges before you can practice. And the privileging process at most facilities is a tangle of forms, committee reviews, and regulatory requirements that nobody prepared you for during training.

For physicians opening their own clinics, DoxApply also helps you set up the privileging framework for your facility itself. If you are the founder and you plan to bring other physicians on board, you need a system for granting and managing their privileges. DoxApply provides that structure from day one, so you are not building it from scratch when your second or third physician joins.

For Experienced Physicians
(Expanding or Relocating)

You don’t need DoxApply to explain what privileging is. You need it to stop wasting your time. Every new facility means another application, another round of primary source verification, another set of staff approvals, and another stack of forms asking for the same information you have provided a hundred times before.

DoxApply maintains a persistent provider profile. Your verified credentials, your training history, and your privilege records from previous facilities. All of it lives in one place. When you apply to a new facility that uses DoxApply, your profile pre-populates the application. Verifications that have already been completed don’t need to be repeated. The entire process accelerates because the system already knows who you are.

If you are a founding physician opening or expanding a clinic,  DoxApply gives you operational control over the privileging process at your own facility. You define the privilege categories, set up the committee structure, and manage the approval workflow.

How It Works

Your privileging journey in four simple steps.

1

Create Your Profile

You sign into DoxApply’s provider portal and build your professional profile. The platform pulls your medical license details, board certification status, DEA registration, NPI number, and educational history from verified databases automatically. You fill in the gaps (malpractice insurance details, work history, references) and upload supporting documents. Most physicians complete this in under 30 minutes.

2

Select and Request Privileges

Based on your specialty and the facility you are applying to, DoxApply presents the relevant privilege delineation form. You review the available privilege categories and request the specific clinical activities you want to perform. The form is customized to that facility’s capabilities, so you are only seeing privileges that are actually available there. You submit your request and your part is largely done.

3

Verification and Review (Mostly Automated)

DoxApply verifies your credentials through primary sources. Simultaneously, your application is routed to the facility’s credentials committee and medical executive committee for review. You can track the status of your application in real time through the portal. If the committee needs additional information, you will receive a notification with a specific request.

4

Privileges Granted

Once approved, your privileges are active and documented. You receive a clear summary of exactly what you have been authorized to do at that facility. DoxApply then monitors your credential expirations and will notify you well in advance when anything needs to be renewed for reappointment. No surprises, no lapses, no last-minute scrambles.
